JESUS MORENTE

Jesús Morente is a Spanish flamenco guitarist based in Oslo with a strong and distinct expression. He grew up in Southern Spain where he from an early age studied at the Conservatory of Badajoz and later got graduated in Sevilla. Morente grew up with the traditional flamenco music and has since developed his own personal style. He has toured in countries such as Spain, Norway, Pakistan, Vietnam and India.

In Norway he has participated in several flamenco performances, toured with Rikskonsertene, worked as an accompanist at the National Academy of Arts and taught flamenco guitar at the National Academy of Music. He has performed at numerous festivals, among them Festspillene i Bergen, Førdefestivalen, Telemarkfestivalen and Melafestivalen.
